We can use our digital microscope inside and out. We look at all SORTS of things and make them come up on the computer or big screen. The best thing is live slaters and caterpillars because they move around like giants all over the wall of the classroom. We let them go when we've had a look. The microscope can come out of its stand and it is interesting to see what our gums look like when our baby teeth fall out at school!!
We take the microscope outside when we really don't want to disturb something, like the big weta that the Room 5 boys found in the bark. Its easier and lots of fun to draw what we see when its so BIG and up on the wall screen.
