We all had a good break over the holidays. We finished term 2 with community visits to Elizabeth R Rest Home and Toko Play Centre. We played instruments, said our poems,and showed pictures. The elderly people at Elizabeth R were very welcoming and asked lots of questions about school.We always love going to the Play Centre. we see friends and revisit all the activities we loved doing when we went there or to another Play Centre.
This term we are staight away organising for our Week 2 School Assembly responsibility.
We begin a Topic - Magnets. We will be learning all about 'White hat' Thinking.
Each week a different one of our fabulous school Learning Star characters will be larger than life in our room and will have a turn as 'Learning Star of The Week' so that we can really get to know each one up close and personal.
We begin the term with the letter 'Ee' as our first weeks focus for letter formation and sounds.
Come and see all the work we have done on 'Symmetry' as our first maths topic. We love creating shapes, butterflies, bears and our own self portraits using symmetry
